MOTHER'S DAY 2010

The pets have mixed feelings about Mother's Day. Mei Toy's mother, Duchess, passed away last year and Winston never knew any mother but us--look how he LOVES us!.......................

Mother's Day comes at the perfect time of year because all the world seems to be rejoicing in the fresh blossoms of spring.........

Like these beauties spied on my walk to church.....................

After Mass, Frannie is soooo happy to see Grandpa Sal.......................

And we wait our turn at the Buffalo Thunder Buffet where all the Mothers are to be feted and honored.....................

Sisi is buoyed by Mother's Day greetings from her kiddies in New York.......................

Danny also gave his Rachel a call to congratulate her on being a Mom....................

Sal is loving the desserts at the buffet........................

As is my Dwightie.......................

"Hey, what's the BIG DEAL about Mother's Day?? Father's Day is practically nothing............."

I'm sure Grandpa D had a witty bon mot to answer that question.........................
Probably Frannie too--as she is getting a reputation for her zingers as well..................
Alice did not win the award at Mass this year for being the oldest mother (They didn't give it at all.), but she seems thrilled with the dessert offerings................
The other mothers--who had more children--seem more content with the liquid libations.........
All in all, a special day --AND A GOOD TIME WAS HAD BY ALL!!!

Last month, the girls braved the cold, the language barrier and very expensive prices to experience--APRIL IN PARIS!............

There's only a few sights prettier than the City of Light, one of them is my Baby Binks sporting her European haircut that sister Keeks gave her as a Birthday present--done at the salon in Edinburgh where Keeks works...........................

The girls traveled in the company of friends met in Scotland, who knew French.............

It may be cold, it may be windy, but hey, THIS IS STILL PARIS!...............

Le Belle Femme................................ Binks at Notre Dame.(Since Keeks took most of the photos, there are more featuring her sister).......................

The Louvre....................Keeks says she wants to return to Paris someday with enough money to eat it's delicious food and visit it's wonderful museums......................

Wrong city, but Binks reminds me of Audrey Hepburn in ROMAN HOLIDAY here.............

The girls are young and the world is their oyster--someday they will return and enjoy Paris in an upscale way, but for now..........."They'll always have Paris"............
