BIENVENIDOS--APRIL LUNCHEON

It' catch-up time again , a few postings scattered in from earlier in the year--like this one of Bienvenidos' Luncheon for April 2016.....

 I present:  Ladies and gents who lunch......

So, onward to a new season and beyond.....AND A GOOD TIME WAS HAD BY ALL!!

  

FOURTH OF JULY 2016

 The Fourth of July, 2016, dawns sunny and bright at Cielo Azul.....

 Dwight is up early to put out our flag because it is our country's birthday.....

 And it just happens to be this Yankee Doodle Dandy's birthday too.....

 We're all set to celebrate Independence Day down on the Plaza

 "Apparently, it's only INDEPENDENCE DAY FOR SOME SPECIES".....

Sorry guys, no dogs allowed on the Plaza for "special events"....

 Because it is too packed.  (If you check out the mob way up the street towards the Plaza, you can see just how bustling the heart of our city is on this holiday.)

 We always enjoy the antique car show on Lincoln Ave....

 And try to imagine ourselves driving our favorite models.....

 We love all the fine detailing on the automobiles of yesteryear.....

 I like this woody with a Drive-Inn tray on it's window.....

 The Chavezes are feeling pretty patriotic!

 "Happy Birthday, you tall, handsome, hunk-of-man!".....

Always great to see lots of old classmates on the Plaza....

 Dwight loves him some muscle car.....

Hip, hip, Hooray for Dwight!  After forty-six years of working for the State of New Mexico, June 30th was Dwight's last day of work! (That's a celebratory cigar from Giancarlo in his pocket!) For a guy who has held a job (and sometimes several jobs at one time) since he was thirteen, his retirement is well deserved! So after our traditional honking drive-by of the plaza--that we do for all our family milestones, he has truly earned the right to wake up the rest of his days and say: "It looks like a great day, let's do something FUN today!" Congratulations! and JOB WELL DONE!, my love.........Dwight celebrates his birthday on July 4th, of course!!!
