ZOZOBRA PARTY--PHOTO BOOTH

 

 This year we arranged for a photo booth manned by Frannie, Bianca and Bob for the first three hours of the Zozobra party.  Just scroll down to find your photo.  Then double click on the photo to enlarge the photo to full size. Then right click on the enlarged image and select "Save As" from the menu and save to your computer. Then back arrow back to the blog.

 If you do not have a printer, just e-mail me at beatlesmama@Yahoo.com and let me know your photo number and your mailing address and I will try to get a print to you within the week.

IT'S FIESTATIME IN OLD SANTA FE....

SPANISH MARKET 2012--DAY 2

 

 We're up early for a second--more leisurely--day at Spanish Market.....

 We start off at the Cathedral where a very special Spanish Market Mass is being celebrated.......

 We wait under one of our favorite portals at the old Post Office building across from the Cathedral.....

 Where we wait until we hear Mariachi Music signaling the start of the procession......

 Down the Cathedral steps come the faithful.......

 With blessings given and artworks carried in procession.....

Led by the Archbishop himself.......

 The  Varoz sisters carry their beautiful straw applique work....

 And Julia, her crewel embroidery.....

 This little boy helps his grandma carry her heavy crucifix....

 Arlene and a colleague carry their retablos......

 And Diana and her family present more straw applique.........

 This is a long procession right up to the gazebo on the plaza.........

All of my children's very special Second Grade teacher, Mrs. Martinez and her husband......,

 Back at the market, all the beautiful wares are once again on display and available for purchase....

 Judy surrounded by her beautiful paintings....

 And the other Judy surrounded by her artwork as well........(and her hubby too)

 They turned the tables on us and took our photo in her lovely booth...........

 Arlene adjusts one of her masterpieces...........

 A better view of this retablo featuring all female saints.  As usual, Arlene is already completely sold out as the day begins...........

 Even painters extraordinaire need some time off--here Clarence and his designer bag take a break for lunch..........

 While the Misses mans the booth and shows off her favorite painting........

 This photo is actually an homage to our friend Eileen, because right after arranging these window displays, she was struck down with a heart episode..........

Detail of the other window.  Now, after over a month in the hospital, we are happy to say that she is back home and is on the mend...............

 Diana in her booth--she has been doing straw applique for decades now and is a true master......

 As is Julia with her spiritually inspired embroidery........

So ends another wonderful day of inspiration at the Santa Fe Spanish Market--AND A WONDERFUL TIME WAS HAD BY ALL!!
