A girl and her stoop--it's a beautiful thing!

Kiki brushes her teeth in preparation for the day. This is their interesting livingroom.
First, a quick check in her painter's studio.....Posted by Picasa
Mother is here--sleeping very comfortably in Kiki's darling bedroon.
Out the door and off to adventure....Posted by Picasa
Some beautiful trim on the girls' apartmnt building.....
En route....
The tour group meets for the tour of Cyprus Hill at the nearest Subway Station...
We're off! Kiki arranged the tour for me because her work site is associated with the Historic Tour Group.Posted by Picasa
First stop--Mother's favorite--The Evergreens Cemetery, second in age and size only to Greenwood..............

Inside the cemetery--the Subway Station in close proximity at our back.....Posted by Picasa
This is a lovely Romantic Cemetery.
Nice name!
This grave is the pride and joy of the cemetery. It commerates a local shipbuilder and is made from the iron fittings of a Monitor class ship. The actual designer of The Monitor lies nearby in Greenwood Cemetery.
Our tour guide, sporting a bandage from a biopsy, points out monumental memorials of the famous Brewery Owners. This was the brewery district for New York. Our tour guide felt the invention of the aluminum can heralded the demise of the local breweries.Posted by Picasa
Great name for a brewer! I wonder if the term "booze" has any connection?Posted by Picasa

Thousands are interned here--hopefully resting in peace....

By brooks too broad for leaping
The lightfoot boys are laid:
The rose-lipt girls are sleeping
in fields where roses fade.
