SPRING HAS SPRUNG.......
And Santa Fe is once again graced with blossoms.....

And the hills of home are "greening up" once morel......

And Sisters get to spend some "Santa Fe time" together.....

Because Baby sister is here because she is being feted to a Bridal Shower....

 With a very special cake.....

And plenty of hostesses--Cathy and Rachel were in California, but they also participated....

And lots of fabulous presents--like this gorgeous quilt designed and made by cousin Kelly.....

She hand dyed the fabric to get these colors and made this quilted storage bag to keep it safe....

And a dedication patch to identify it as a work or art and a work of the heart.....

There were lots of guests playing games....

And lots of prizes for the winners....
And lots of helpers--like Dwight.  Who is greatly appreciated despite putting a hole in the cake and in the heart of the prize teddy bear--all in his enthusiasm to help....

And best of all, there was lots of food1  Gwen seems to be enjoying it....

And lots of conversation and sharing by all those who love our little Banquita......

 And as the springtime progresses.......

We enjoy a profusion of blossoms....

And a delicate beauty that is only here for a very brief time each year....

And in this season we also enjoy the Japan Festival in Santa Fe....

Where we get to enjoy all things Japanese--like the beautiful dancing....

 Performed by my friend Virginia....

I also enjoy sporting a Japanese jacket I purchased at the garage sales....

 Virginia--in her full kimono regalia.......

performs all the delicate and meaningful gestures....
 and rituals of Japanese dance.....
Next year, I hope to wear the full kimono and tied obi attire too.....

Wisteria is the proud peacock of Spring in Santa Fe.....

But since it is in Santa Fe--there is always the danger of snow until May 15th or so.....

Back in California, Bianca--looking very Audrey Hepburn like--is feted by another shower.....

 With more caring hostesses.....
 And more exquisite gifts.....

So. as each sunrise leads us ever closer to the late spring wedding.....

Enjoy the beauty and enjoy the springtime!!!

 Bienvenidos' March Luncheon

It's early March and time for Bienvenidos' March luncheon--traditionally with a St. Patrick's Day theme.....

 Allice was in attendance....
 As was Miss Juanita...

I present:  Ladies who lunch.......(however, because the Board Meeting ran extra long, we were rushed right into food service, so I only got time to photograph a fraction of the members in attendance)

So, even though I got to record just a few members, I can tell you that:  A GOOD TIME WAS HAD BY ALL--And the top 'o the morning to you....

Slipping from one season to the next....

We have had a lovely winter in Santa Fe....
 With plenty of snow....

And my pre-dawn walks above the city...

 With views of gorgeous sunrises....

 And far off mountain ranges....

And everyday sights turned to exotic vistas by the golden glimmer of the morning....

When Santa fe becomes one Sleepy Time Gal....

All of which makes the winter such an interesting companion....

But not one that is a welcome visitor for too long.  And soon there are signs that the season may be changing soon....

 Mardi Gras comes once more....

 And so does Lent....

Reminding us that Easter is just 40 days away.....

So while Persephone, herself, waits for spring...

And the dark and cloudy dawn alerts the town....

That this winter will not last forever...

Although it lasted long enough to interfere with out Golondrinas Awards Luncheon....

Which only the hardiest volunteers attended....

But soon, the painterly morning sky whispers a message....

That the crows trumpet to the moon......

 That one fine morning......

All those little bulbs will peek through....

And it will be SPRING again in Santa Fe!................

It' time again for the latest additions to the Capshaw Collection of Fine Fiestawear! Cover shot featuring something new this year:  Pan...
