THE IDIOTARAD--NEW YORK STYLE!
To parody the famous dog-sled race and to enliven a bleak winter landscape, a group of New Yorkers have been staging this event for several years. Teams dressed in a fanciful array of costumes race shopping carts through Brooklyn and Manhattan. Some carts are so embellished, they are barely recognizable as shopping carts. Sabotage is the name of the game--awards are even given in this category. Frannie's role was as a sabateur--setting up a fake sign-in table and confusing the competition. Her team--Cobra (Carts Of Brooklyn Racing Association) won the Best Overall award, and will be responsible for organizing the event next year.
