The flamingos are flourishing, but Zookeeper Kelly tells us that the wild raccoons are are also flourishing. Normally, at this time, the famingos would be laying their eggs in little nest mounds they make out of sand and dirt (because they can't bend their long legs to get to ground level), however, to stay safe from the raccoons, the flamingos are staying standing in the protection of the water all night.
