Eight reasons you'd love japan...
Photos and text by Chiara.
These are from Hakone, a mountainous area around Mt.Fuji. But as usual, the ever evasive Mr. Fuji was nowhere to be seen--covered by thick clouds. Unfortunate, but beautiful none the less. In the last few mountain shots (with the tram) those aren't clouds but steam actually rising out of Fuji's volcanic foothills. Boiling water was pouring out from the cracks and there was a strong stench of sulfur. The Japanese however use this to their advantage, they use the water to boil eggs that you can purchase on the spot. They were black but yummy.
