We're back in Coney Island at the home of the Minor League Brooklyn Cyclones for a very special event......
Kiki has joined us there too.................................

Dwightie likes the mascot.........................
But this bird likes the chicks..................................

"Oh boy Baseball!! Mommie is Derek Jeter going to play?"..............................................
"Yes Baby, and Joe DiMaggio too"...................................................
We got a good place in the line that extends around the corner and on to the beach. For tonight only, the team is called the Baraklyn Cyclones and "Mr. President" is going to throw out the first ball. Frannie told me about this promotion back in February and I called an hour after the tickets were first being offered, but it was sold out. The only seats left were group seats for twenty or more, so I bought twenty tickets as the New Mexico Cyclones Fan Club in the bleachers. Frannie had no trouble selling all the extras so we will have all the extra money for food and we will be sitting with lots of the girl's friends--so, it's all GOOD...........
The first 2,000 fans got Barak Obama Cyclone bobblehead dolls. Notice he's #44. Clever! Some people in line just got the bobbleheads and didn't wait for the game--their loss...................
This is a really nice park--right on the beach....................

The view from the back of the bleachers...................
The parachute drop.......................
Guess who's here? Mr. Joaquinn Blue ............................
Frannie's little favorite...................................
He of the penetrating and soulful dark eyes........................
Oh, what a card!............................
He befriended the family in the row ahead of him and ended up with more of their popcorn that their own son got.....................................
And Mama Johanna was here as well.............................
Hail to the Chief!! Mr. Prez has thrown out the first ball.......................
The stands are full and we're ready to rock.......................

The Cyclones have a great scoreboard with details that honor the amusement park next door. There is even a mini "cyclone" on the scoreboard......................
A warm summer night, lovely company and baseball with political overtones--it doesn't get much better than this!...................................
A lot of our companions were roller derby girls--I took this picture from the tee shirt of the girl in front of me--an all-star and National Champion, I might add. As I stated previously, I have never met more polite, cultured, intelligent and interesting young women than these roller derby girls in my life.................
I almost hate for the evening to end.............................

Theeeee CYCLONES win! The Cyclones WIN!!!..........................................
Great summer date night........................
A man in his element................................
Time to say "goodnight" as we scatter our separate ways..................

Goodbye to a fabulous park..............

Goodbye Mr. President............................................
This man is posing with his family after winning the raffle for one of the keepsake player's jerseys that commemorate tonight's special event..........................

Goodnight beautiful Brooklyn girls--for whom the night is still young and there is much fun still to be had.....................
We old folks are headed back to Manhattan on the train--I took this picture of the Brooklyn Bridge as our train sped over the Manhattan Bridge. And a good time was truly had by all!
