Santa Fe's celebration of it's 400th Birthday came to a ceremonial end with festivities at the Convention Center....................
We were happy to celebrate along with our hometown.................
Saturday, the last of the memorial plaques around the Plaza was unveiled..................
And today, Sunday, is the finale. Hey, it's spring in Santa Fe, IT'S WINDY!............
Some of the interesting art in the Convention Center..............
Bienvenidos is assisting as greeters--since I had an Iris Society meeting at 2:00, I couldn't make either shift..................
Two of my most precious former students--one a former Fiesta Queen and the other a former Lobo Lucy..................
Miss Julia modeling a Floclorica antique dress from La Merienda................
She's a cutie!..................
Some of the lovely photography on exhibit from the many ages of Santa Fe..................
The reason for the day--free frito pies from Realburger!.................
The Fiesta booth had lots of historical photos on display, I love this one of the lovely Linda when she reigned as Fiesta Queen.......................
The venerable Sister Mary Cecilia...................
Although she seemed to be suffering from stage fright a few moments earlier as she primped for her role.......................
A nice photo of Santa Fe past...........................
EXPOSE! EXPOSE! These are the people caught red-handed trying to pass that crazy little Cece off as a saintly nun....................
Sophia was better type-cast as an early settler....................
The beaming grandparents..................
Maurice--the man in charge! I bet both he and his family are relieved now that the Quartro Centario is over........................
The second shift of greeters are arriving...................
He always was a languorous leaner......................
So, Happy Birthday to my Hometown! We love you, Santa Fe!
