Dwight presents Paula with one of many,many gifts presented to her in honor of her many years service to the Legislative Council........

The crowd that showed up to say goodbye was truly enormous......................

Some already retired folks, like Steve, showed up to celebrate with Paula....................

The tables were decorated in festive colors......................

And the whole party had a Fiesta feeling..................

Even the camera shy Miss Anna was caught on film--okay, CROPPED out of a bigger picture....................

Dwight started the ceremony with words of high praise for his wonderful boss.....................

It is obvious what high esteem her co-workers feel for Paula.............................

Paula also had remembrances to share with those who will remain after she departs...............

Paula has dedicated a large portion of her life to this job and the State Capitol, and it is obvious that she will miss the place and her co-workers..........................

Raul will be taking over her job..............

And this little monkey has a special significance to someone else for whom Paula wishes future success on the job. (These photos were taken over a year ago, so I have forgotten who the monkey was for and what it signified. With the passing of a year since these photos, I am happy to say that retirement has been wonderful for Paula, and even though she is still missed, she is enjoying having time for herself.)
