Tallulah is all curled up in an "almost" hat box, she is unaware that today is a very momentous day..................
Sisi and Grandma are also busy at garage sales--totally unaware of the import of this day as well............
And fashionable as she is, Sisi still does not know that the excitement has already started in New York..........................
I, however, am TOTALLY aware that Derek Jeter has already gotten hit 2,999 at his first at bat on this July Day and I am in my Yankee visor ready to cheer for #3,000.......................
It's nearly 2:00 P.M. in Yankee Stadium as Jetes steps into the batter's box once more........
All eyes are on him as he awaits the first pitch.........................
Too low....................
The next one is a foul ball.................
But his eyes are intensely watching the pitcher..................................
And here it is.....CRACK!.....A HOME RUN!.....AND HIT #3.000................................
And the crowd goes WILD!......................(Including the crowd at Cielo Azul)
Jetes' best friend, Jorge Posada, is first to congratulate him at home plate...............................
But the rest of the Yankees swarm in...................
This is one very happy fellow......................
An ovation for The Capitan in the Cathedral that is Yankee Stadium!--#2 hit #3,000 exactly at 2:00 P.M.! Derek Jeter thrilled the crowd by going 5 for 5 in the game and driving in the winning run--Hollywood couldn't have scripted a greater day!..................

And my precious daughters will help me to always to remember this most momentous day of Summer 2011 by bringing me this fabulous T-Shirt from New York. Although Kiki was asking the vendors for Derek Jeter's 30th Hit gear. I will always remember that on that very special day in July 2011, in New York and at Cielo Azul: A SPECTACULAR TIME WAS HAD BY ALL!!!
