EARLY SPRING MISCELLANY.....

At long last spring arrives in Santa Fe......

 Along with the exciting news that Bianca and Michael have gotten engaged.....

 With a gorgeous engagement ring, and beautiful kitties, what more could a girl need....

 Well, how about an announcement in the local paper heralding the news....

 Old Man winter is taking his time fading away.....

 But with each new day, spring is more surely here.....

 In Berlin, Kiki and her friends are partying....

 And sometimes just pondering....

 The Garage Sale gang keeps rolling....

 With some curious finds....

 And some real finds.....

 Our gorgeous New Mexico sky.....

 La Conquistadora in red for Holy Week.....

 And on Good Friday, our family gets an adorable new member, DiCaprio....

 Who is really, REALLY DARLING!...

 And so on Easter Sunday, we have a lot to be thankful for.....

 With gorgeous weather....

 Beautiful trees in the parish garden....

 And lots of happy faces.....

 Now La Conquistadora is wearing white for Eastertide.....

 Showing off our new baby....

Did I mention that he is really cute?....

 Soon, Miss Binks is here on Spring break....

 To check out wedding venues like Rancho de las Golondrinas...

 With it's beautiful bosque....

 And friendly animals.....

 While Mommie contemplates the blossoms.....

 The large cottonwoods will soon be getting their leaves....

 And the bosque will have a new carpet of green grass....

 Bianca indulges her Mama by posing in some new dresses for this year's Capshaw Collection Addendum....

 Mommie wants to show off some new Fiesta dresses too....

 But the real fun is trying on wedding dresses to the delight of Grandma, Frannie, Sylvia and Mommie--this is not the one she chose.....

 And lovely as it is, neither is this one....

 And so the days  and nights continue....

 And soon it is time for the Capshaws to attend a Cinco de Mayo party....

 Complete with friends in funny, festive hats....

 And fun attire that says "M-E-X-I-C-O!".....

 My first tour of duty as a volunteer at Rancho de las Golondrinas--first assignment in the capilla...

On Civil War Re-enactment weekend....

 When folks don costumes from the Civil War Era....

 Some are confederates....

And some are Yankees....

 And some are just observers interested in the wonders of the living museum...

 Such are the joys of early spring....

 With winsome skies....

 And flowers to warm your hearts......
