The founder of the Park--the architects of this park also did Central Park and they really preferred the design at Prospect Park.
The rain wins, we finally have to take shelter in a classical peristyle on the perimeter of the park. The man in the white tee-shirt is Mr. Know-it-all, the gentleman in the wine colored jacket is the man who grew up in the neighborhood. He has since moved away, but when I asked him if he missed the neighborhood, he told me: "Oh yes, once a Pawk Sloper, always a Pawk Sloper!"
