Up early on one of the loveliest days of the year.....

I've got my jacket and my "dressy" weights for the walk to church........

Along the way, I spied this valiant lilac--almost dead, but still struggling to bloom......

A hilltop view. The two hills in the distance look like a bodacious Brazilian butt--like the beauties sunning on Ipanema Beach in their dental floss bikinis. Interestingly enough, from the south side, these same two hills look like a huge "living bra". Or have I just failed a humongous Rorschach test?...............

At Mass, Alice Montoya is selected for an award for being the oldest mother in attendance........

Yup, she's a winner!!!.......................................

Sylvia plays the part of Louie in re-enacting the momentous identification of Alice as Top Mom.....................

It's great to be in the company of an acclaimed winner.............

Sisi looks a bit wistful--missing her two children on this day. She was soon smiling however, when the long-distance phone calls started rolling in..............

Diana is fortunate to have her beloved son here in Santa Fe! Especially a son with such great taste--he gifted her with Bruce Springsteen's new CD. What a boy!...........

And what traditional New Mexico Mothers' Day would be complete without the obligatory visit to a casino--for a buffet. The tribal police made me erase my picture when they saw me snapping photos in the casino, but they didn't know that I had taken TWO PHOTOS!..........

Dwight also had his ways to commemorate the day.......

A visit to Memorial Gardens to tend to his mother's grave..............
