Earlier this summer, I got lost trying to find the Bienvenidos tour of the Allan Hauser Sculpture Gardens, but today I am getting a very special second chance....
Thanks to a very gracious invitation from our dear friend Hyda...................

Hyda's friend Maria, and Sylvia and I all got tickets to a very gala event being held at the sculpture garden in honor of Indian Market--thanks to Hyda............
The garden is set out off of State Road 14 in a naturalistic setting that allows the viewers to fully appreciate the many Hauser sculptures--many very representational...................
And some more abstract................
Mr. Allan Hauser, himself................
A very familiar Apache dancer.....................
An early morning maiden.............

A brave and his steed.......................

There is a larger version of this sculpture in the courtyard of Hotel Santa Fe.................

A very stylized buffalo...................
A very stylish baby sister...................
A proud buffalo dancer......................
An elongated Indian woman....................

Mother, child, and pottery.......................
Two skinny sisters.......................

Two not sooooooooooooo skinny sisters....................
This brave is mad at the sky..................................
On closer inspection, he's pissed at those jet trails messing up God's sky..........................
A look at how the trails are set very naturalistically among the pinons...................
Another intimidating Apache..................

Buffalo chant..............
Buffalo hunt.......................
I always like to imagine what I would choose if I had the funds to purchase a sculpture, this would be my choice..............
Familiar from the Roundhouse.................
An Eagle Dancer...............
Indian singers.............
A comely maid......................
A hard working woman................
Perhaps a Medicine Man...................
A blanketed woman--behind her is one of the studios on the property................
A drummer....................
Does this look familiar to you, Dwight? The Hauser family presented Dwight with a beautiful framed photo of this sculpture to thank him for his help in installing it on the grounds of the New Mexico State Capitol.......................
Three on the trail--en route to a lavish spread prepared for our supper.....................
Behind Maria is the tent where supper was served. Afterwards we retired to the huge ceremonial circle where an entire evening of entertainment was presented................
