ONE YEAR ENDS AND ANOTHER BEGINS

 

 In the relaxed atmosphere of the post Christmas period, there is still some celebrating to do....

 Like setting aside a day for a special outing with the visiting Baby Binks.....

 On this day, we get to explore the remodeled Hotel Chimayo...

 And enjoy lunch in their upstairs Tia's Cocina Restaurant featuring delicious Chimayo Chile....

 The balcony of the restaurant overlooks the hotel lobby......

 That celebrates the arts and crafts of Chimayo....

 Like their unique weaving.....

 Back home, we relax with the newest member of the family--the splendeiferous little Zsa Zsa......

 Because her fur is a little on the sparse side, she sports a southwestern style T-shirt on cold days....

Tonight we're having dinner at Jambo Cafe, but Frannie's sad eyes are a tip off that this is Bianca's last night before returning home.......

 And the sad eyes continue as we all hate to see her leave.....

 Sure enough, the next morning she's off to meet Michael and her San Francisco friends for a New Year's Eve weekend in San Diego....

And though it's hard to let her go, we are so appreciative that she came home for the holidays and spent such quality time with us.....

 Later that evening, Dwight is all dressed up and enjoying playing with an energetic little Zsa Zsa....

 And he's a big, BIG man--BIG DWIGHT....

 Tonight's New Years Eve--a time to be thankful for making it through another year....

 And to celebrate the promise of a new year, and.....

 And for another Capshaw tradition--a New Year's Eve stroll around the Plaza.....

 Our hometown is like a fairyland this time of year.......

 And we truly appreciate being able to call this home.....

The Catron Block looks good in snow.....

 And the girls look good in bling.....

 Disneyland has nothing on good old Santa Fe on this night......

 And we wouldn't miss our stroll for anything.....

 The gazebo--scene of so many summertime entertainments --is full of light.....

 I don't know where their menfolk are right now, but I'm sure that they'll be there for the countdown for 2013.............

 And of course, 2013 will arrive on the plaza one hour earlier than California.....

 They're impulsive little buggers.........

 The perfect ballroom for a New Year's waltz......
