SPANISH MARKET, DAY TWO: I was so pleased with my purchase of a tiny
retablo from Gabe Vigil, that I decided to spend another morning at the Spanish Market.....

First stop was the Spanish Market Mass at the Cathedral......

Where I met up with Los
Montoyas....

The Archbishop led a procession of craftsmen to the plaza....

with pomp and ceremony....

Followed by the faithful...

Among them, Miss
Hyda....

The streets got crowded early today--a much sunnier day than Saturday....

There was still lots of fine art to admire....

And good food to savor for breakfast....

Some of the artwork was just for display as it had already been sold....

A beaming Julie Gomez displays some of her
colcha embroidery...

And inside La Fonda we found another happening couple....

Liz and Michael....

Louie poses with his cousin Jean--a talented
santera....

An animated conversation between a tinsmith and his patrons....

Patsy and hubby enjoying the market....

The outstanding work of Roger Montoya...

Linda
Esquibel displays some of the yarn used in her beautiful
colcha embroidery....

And poses with her proud
paents....

It was hard to leave the joyful market, but all good things must end.....

Back to cooking gruel for my family...
