After an absence of a few years, The Santa Fe Air Show returned to town to the delight of Dwight--the Air Show's #1 fan!
There were also lots of groovy cars to see at the show......

Like the Metsmobile.....
And the "America First" wagon....

And some classy old chaises....
And souped up gangstermobiles.....

Some engines are just too pretty.......
I'm willing to take a ride in this one.....

But the point of the show is airplanes....

Buddies.....
There were blue planes....
And green planes.....

And planes of many sizes.....

There were military planes.....

And oddly designed planes......

Inside the hanger is a replica of an historic plane--Amelia Erhart's (sp?) plane that was lost in the Pacific all those many years ago....

Some planes had some nose-art.....

Less dials and buttons than the dashboard on my P.T. Cruiser.....

Go Demons!......
A man in his element......
The New Mexico National Guard jets.....
I assume the chilies represent the number of Texans they have shot down.....

Fly Girl.....
Taxing out for a performance......

Dwight checks out Emilia's plane and shows off the cool back of his shirt......

"Hey, she's not in there!"

Posing with the historic replica. The table to the front of the plane was staffed by ladies of varying ages who pilot this plane.

What's going on behind Diana?
A balloon launching!
The "missing man" formation......

One of the stars of the show starts his performance......

Flying high into the sky.....
A lot of the time upside-down.....
Another flyer does a figure eight in the sky.......

The graceful aero-ballet of the glider........

Hey, what's on top of that plane? More later......

As soon as one performer landed, another was ready to start up......

That's what's on top of the plane--a wing-walker.....
Up, up, they flew--often times upside-down.....

This is who the wing-walker was.........
A very lovely--but Oh-so-crazy--blond lady!

This must be Dwight's favorite plane!......

It has a scary face.....
And he dressed just like it!
All in all, a terrific day for big boys and their big-boy toys..................
