This is the front of the line, checking in and going through the metal detectors. The end of the line was almost a mile away winding through the streets of the valley.....
The crowd gathers......
At the very last moment, we volunteers were released to find a spot to watch Barack Obama's speech.....
This young woman was one of the grassroots organizers from Las Vegas. She made one of the introductions on the stage, but then came on down and joined the crowd--she wanted the full impact of the crowd enthusiasm!
It's Baaaaarack!
As he spoke, a woman translated into sign language for the hearing impaired.....
He inspired this crowd just as he has inspired and given hope to an entire beleaguered nation!
Barack Obama under the blue New Mexico sky--he said that this scenery was as beautiful as any he had ever seen......
We were standing behind the speaker, but he repeatedly turned around and spoke directly to us!
Barack Obama addresses one of the largest crowds ever assembled in Northern New Mexico (estimated at 10,000). The mayor of Espanola thanked him for doubling the size of the town.
It was a magnificent speech and an inspirational Day!
