This is Emmy, a Gunnison's Prairie Dog. She is ancient for her species--8 or 9 years old! This is the second time she has been brought in for breathing difficulty and weight loss. Last time, it was pnemonia and she responded well. Kelly says Emmy loves the human attention and that she squeezes her little eyes shut when Kellly strokes her neck.
