It's time again for the Santa Fe Indian Market................
Because of the high market values on Indian crafts, we mainly attend just to admire the beauty of the merchandise. Our days of being able to afford any purchases are well in the past.............

This is a beautiful 3/4 size sculpture.......................
Another charming Indian maid with her artist creator..............

This beautiful hawk was giving an exhibition............................

Personally, I've always been a pot girl.................
We studied this beautiful Pueblo costume very closely--Dwight gave me a gift of a beautiful woven sash much like this one many years ago, and I have not fully enjoyed having it, because I wasn't sure on the proper way to wear it...........................
We even stalked these two pretty girls to see how they tied their sashes. Actually, they were nice enough to give me some directions. Maybe next market, we'll study the hair style..............
More exquisite carvings.......................

A very large and gorgeous pot....................
More artists and their creations.......................
This was the treat of the day--this young man is the World's Champion Hoop Dancer.............
I wish I had the talent to capture his amazing act...............
Afterwards, he posed with his trainer and drummer as this was one of his last performances as an amateur. He has signed a contract with the Circ de Soliel (sp?) and he will now be touring the globe. The younger boy is the new protege for the drummer and his performance was also great!.................
Three wonderful faces and three wonderful talents--we wish them all much success in their future. And thus ended our 2009 Indian Market.........................
