Fiesta Finale--the BIG Parade...........

It's finally time for the last Fiesta post of 2013--the Historical-Hysterical Parade.....

 After a respite after a morning spent down on the plaza, Dwight is ready to help the NM Alzheimer's Assoc. with their annual float in the parade.....

 So, we're off to DeVargas Mall............

 Where we assist Annabelle with this year's float.....

And the gang's all here to help out--all in their purple T-shirts......

 Except for one!--Hey, after all, it IS still Fiesta and I changed into a purple blouse.....

 Louise is tired from decorating and she wants down.....

 And what Mama WANTS, Mama GETS...............

 In the long hours waiting for the parade to begin, we meet our neighbors from the University of Art at Santa Fe's Drama Dept......

 The "bad girls" scare Snow White away......

 DeVargas and his men are arriving on horseback......

 And Dwight is rocking to the oldies provided by the loud music system behind us.......

 Theresa visits with her beeeutiful granddaughter who will be on the SFHS athlete's float.....

 Some folks love posing....

 "Taaa Dah!"

 Yup these girls are just "Cruisin' the City, Savin' the Titties".......

 This Breast Cancer Awareness float has a rather novel approach......

"I'll get you, my pretty--and your little dog too!"...............

 We're practicing "the wave"....

 Are we ever going to start?--even Brody had to be taken out of the cab to cool off under the shade of a tree.......

 And we're off!--shouting out support for the Alzheimer's Walk to be held next week....

 And throwing lots of candy......

 And mixing with "la plebe"........

 And winding through the narrow streets of this ancient old town.......

 At parade's end, we are pleased with out effort.....

 And as always, Brody has been the star of the show!......

 And deserves lots of pets and hugs.......

And of course, when we select a restaurant to celebrate the end of Fiesta 2013, we have to find a spot that is "Brody Friendly"!!  And so ends, Fiesta 2013--AND A GRAND TIME WAS HAD BY ALL!!
