The big news however, was the election of
Barak Obama as President of the United States. After celebrating with friends on Long Island, she began the trek back home through Queens and Brooklyn. As she progressed, travel slowed way down as the streets flooded with folks of all types --all jubilant that we have indeed taken our country back!! What follows is a random progression of photos from various locales along the route, ending up at Fort Greene Park in Brooklyn where folks partied into the wee hours of the morning. Hooray for us! Hooray for America!
