Winston is upset by the unusual amount of noise in the neighborhood.................
It's more than the normal hustle and bustle of Mommie getting ready for her last duty day at the booth..................

Daddy assures him that all the noise and disruption will soon be over........
A walk up the driveway illuminates the source of all the commotion......................
The City is putting all new sidewalks in on our stretch of Bishop's Lodge Road............And they have completed the stretch to the north of us.................
And to the south of us......................
Our little patch of sidewalk has been kept for last because of the problem of replacing the drain..........
But soon they will complete the last grey sidewalks in the Historic District...........
A few weeks later--and Dwight is feeling pretty patriotic.................
And I am sitting on our lovely new sidewalk waiting for.................
The Veteran's Day Parade to pass by....................
There are lots of Veterans to honor..............
Like Francis X. Nava--a Santa Fe boy who was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor for sacrificing his own life by throwing himself on a live grenade to save the lives of his buddies. Nava School is honoring him today.....................
Our Congressman and our Mayor are walking proud...............
And these Vets are full of pride also................
Even this cute little doggie is proud of our Veterans................
No parade is complete without some really special vintage autos...............
And some Mariachi music.....................
A Hot Rod couple........................
And the Peaceniks..............
On they roll to ceremonies on the Plaza...................
Even the Caballeros are involved....................
As the parade rolls into town, Dwight gives the Vets a final Salute....................
And we also salute all the City workers who have given us such a nice sidewalk from which we can view the Parade of Life.........................Thanks!
